ScrumWorks Pro recognized for project management excellence

BELLEVUE, Wash., and SANTA CLARA, SD WEST CONFERENCE 2009, -
March 12, 2009, Danube Technologies, Inc., http://www.danube.com, the leader in software and training for the Scrum method of agile software development, today announced its ScrumWorks® Pro tool has been awarded a prestigious JOLT Productivity Award in the Project Management category. Presented at the Dr. Dobb's 19th Annual Jolt Product Excellence Awards banquet held in Santa Clara last night, the Jolt awards are given to products, books and Web sites that have "jolted" the industry by helping to create faster, easier and more efficient software.

"The recognition of ScrumWorks Pro in the Project Management category is a testament to the entire Danube team, our partners and our outstanding customers that play an active role in the continued improvement of the product," said Victor Szalvay, co-founder and CTO for Danube. "This award also reinforces our ongoing commitment to the core values of the Scrum method of agile development as it continues to provide great value both to developers and the business."

ScrumWorks Pro is the only software tool designed from the ground-up to be 100 percent dedicated to Scrum success. Launched in January 2007, it allows teams, product owners and stakeholders to manage every aspect of Scrum at the program, product release and sprint levels. It offers role-based project tracking, reporting and requirements traceability for building successful Scrum projects based on best practices. ScrumWorks Basic provides the "basic" functionality needed to run Scrum projects, including project management, drag-and-drop prioritization of work, sprint tracking and management, basic reporting and data accessibility.

The Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards were judged by a respected panel of Dr. Dobb's Journal editors, expert advisers and columnists. The awards were presented at the Software Development Conference's 19th Annual Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards ceremony in Santa Clara, Calif., on March 11, 2009.
This year's winners will be featured in the June 2009 issue of Dr. Dobb's Journal. For more information on the awards, visit www.drdobbsjournal.com.
