Software Magazine Ranks PLM Vendor as One of the World's Leading Software Companies for Fourth Consecutive Year

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Agile Software Corporation (Nasdaq: AGIL - News), a leading provider of product lifecycle management solutions, today announced its inclusion in the Software 500 for the fourth consecutive year. Each year, Software Magazine ranks the world's foremost software and services providers, published as an online catalog on www.Softwaremag.com.

In 2005, Agile Software continued its momentum among enterprises in the electronics and high tech, life sciences, consumer packaged goods and manufacturing industries. Agile also experienced success with the release of Agile 9.2, Agile's next generation release for managing the enterprise product record throughout the product lifecycle. Customer wins and expansions in 2005 included 3Dconnexion, Ball Aerospace, Ballard, Braun, Coherent, Finisar, Funai, Haemonetics, Hitachi, IBM, Juniper, Philips, QUALCOMM, Siemens, Symbol Technologies, Tyco Healthcare, Viasat and ZF.

In addition to Agile's organic growth in 2005, the company also grew by acquiring Cimmetry Systems, a leading provider of collaborative visualization solutions including AutoVue(TM), with over 10,000 customers worldwide across a wide range of industries. Collaborative visualization is an important PLM infrastructure component that enables a much broader set of people both inside and beyond a company to drive critical product decisions.

"Agile's inclusion in the Software 500 for the fourth consecutive year illustrates Agile's continued commitment to providing our over 11,000 worldwide customers with the most robust and comprehensive PLM solutions in the market," said Jay Fulcher, Agile CEO and president. "We have expanded the breadth of our PLM solutions to help companies drive value and deliver results by providing the domain expertise and industry best practices companies need to improve their bottom line."

The Software 500 ranking, the best-known ranking in the industry, is a revenue-based industry ranking of the leading software and services companies targeting the enterprise, now in its 24th year. The Searchable Software 500 on Softwaremag.com enables registered site visitors to identify the leading software and service providers by their category of business focus.

"The overall strength of the software and services industries has improved, with revenue for the 2006 Software 500 at $380.8 billion worldwide for 2005, representing just under a 1% decline from previous year. The industry continues to be dynamic, with nearly 90 new companies on the 2006 Software 500 list," said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. "We help our readers and site visitors in Information Technology management to narrow down their choice of software product and service providers they choose to work with in tackling business priorities."
