| March 24, 2009 -- Perforce Software today released an enhanced version of its Perforce Plug-in for Eclipse. The plug-in allows developers who use Eclipse to easily access Perforce SCM's version control features from within the familiar development environment. Perforce SCM versions and manages source code and digital assets for enterprises large and small. This release introduces features that benefit both project managers and developers. Release managers can create and maintain multiple code lines from within Eclipse with the same convenience and ease they have come to expect from the Perforce Visual Client, P4V. Additionally, new support for Eclipse's Synchronize View enables developers to quickly understand the state of files on their desktop compared to those in the Perforce Depot. "This release underscores Perforce's continued commitment to the Eclipse community," said Alan Teague, development manager for integrations at Perforce Software. "We've put a lot of effort into extending the functionality of this plug-in and are confident developers will be pleased with the significant performance improvements." The Perforce Plug-in for Eclipse is available now, at no additional charge, with the latest release of the Perforce Server, and is supported on servers starting from version 2005.2.
