Continuing interest and demand for Agile knowledge exceeds expectations

WASHINGTON, July 16 -- The Agile Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the concepts of Agile software development, announced that the Agile 2007 conference has sold out for the third straight year. Agile 2007 is the industry's leading event for Agile knowledge. Agile 2007 is scheduled for August 13-17 in Washington, D.C. (http://www.agile2007.org).

The annual Agile conference has again proved itself to be the must attend event of the year for software development professionals looking to explore and succeed with Agile software development. Agile 2007 is the largest conference dedicated to promoting the benefits of Agile software development. With an expected attendance of more than 1,500 individuals, the conference is the premiere event for independent software vendors, software consultants and in-house corporate development teams interested in learning from Agile experts on how to successfully implement Agile methods.
"Agile software development is truly transforming the software development world and reshaping the way organizations create, manage and deliver software," said Mary Lynn Manns, Agile 2007 conference chair. "This year's conference quickly sold out with strong attendee registration from large Fortune 1000 companies and international firms looking for the best and most current knowledge in Agile best practices. We look forward to yet another strong conference where attendees are encouraged to engage, build peer relationships and interact with the brightest minds in Agile throughout the entire event."
This year's conference theme, "Making Connections, Building Relationships" is reinforced through the myriad of peer networking activities that help foster the exchange of ideas and further promote the profound benefits that Agile delivers to organizations of all sizes and in all industries. This year's conference offers more than 615 highly interactive sessions ranging in scope and skill level. Agile thought leaders scheduled to present at this year conference include:
  • Mike Cohn, "Succeeding with Agile: A Guide to Transitioning"
  • Jim Highsmith, "Adaptive Performance Management for Agile Enterprises"
  • Ken Schwaber, "The Enterprise and Scrum"
  • Jean Tabaka, "I Don't Like Mondays -- Improving Agile Process Team Events"
Agile software development accentuates the use of rich collaboration and the frequent delivery of fully-operational tested systems, as well as fostering the human component of software development. Agile focuses on delivering business value early in the project life cycle that are based on timely customer and market demands. Agile software development is increasingly being adopted by larger organizations as a means to bring distributed teams together on complex software development projects.
