Michael Jackson dies and kills the internet too.
Its hard to believe that any one incident could cause Google to struggle. But what was it? The crisis in Iran? Global warming? Healthcare? No, none of these, it was the death of Michael Jackson that cause Google's search engines and video servers to experience such high volume that at times people were turned away. Go Figure. It's a "Thriller"

Haha. Great blog. I started thinking about it and it doesn't surprise me. Michael Jackson has been such a celebrity figure to people from everywhere around the world, and his death was so unexpected that I'd love to see the Google traffic/bandwidth reports from yesterday just to see all the locations people were Googling Michael Jackson from.
