Agile Processes: Making Metrics SimpleWe have struggled as an organization to have meaningful metrics for software development. There is no consistent direction "from above", and it isn't a priority for front-line managers. Developers record their time against tasks...but do so inconsistently from one team to the next. Project management also keeps track of various metrics, but there isn't a strong sense of consistency. Most people here would tell you that we probably don't track anything.
I'm interested to know if anyone "out there" has tried this technique with a development team of 40+ people.
