Chicago - 13 Mon 2007 - Global IT consultancy
ThoughtWorks, Inc., today announced that Mingle, the company's new
Agile project management application, will make its first public
appearance at this year's Agile 2007 conference held August 13-17 in
Washington D.C.,. For this debut, visitors to ThoughtWorks' booth (No.
18) will be able to test-drive Mingle on a Nintendo Wii console.
Mingle
enables IT departments to radically improve the management of Agile
projects by providing critical project intelligence for teams making
real-time decisions based on Agile metrics collected from everyday
activities. The application supports software delivery by providing the
entire team - from project managers to developers to business analysts
- with a single place to share all project output. Mingle was developed
by ThoughtWorks Studios, the product development arm of ThoughtWorks.
Drawing
on 10 years of Agile experience, ThoughtWorks created a powerful
application offering unparalleled flexibility. For example, rather
than locking users into a standard ontology, users can customize
terminology to fit their own approach and culture. Mingle also
integrates all critical project information so teams can collaborate
and document, track bugs, capture requirements, and link code to
requirements all in one place.
"We're very
excited for the world to see Mingle at Agile 2007," said Chad
Wathington, VP of Product Management, ThoughtWorks Studios. "Agile
practitioners will get a chance to see, first-hand, how Mingle allows
you to work in your own style while facilitating the use of Agile best
practices."
ThoughtWorks will highlight Mingle's
easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface through a contest that tests
agilists' skills using Mingle via the Nintendo Wii console. The person
with the best time in a contest to perform a simulated rapid iteration
planning session will be awarded the Wii.
