With 80% of software development taking place in distributed environments and Agile development methodologies adoption on the rise, organizations are faced with a new twist on the Agile challenge: How to support software change and configuration management for Agile teams despite geographic boundaries?
As collaborators become increasingly distributed, the emphasis gradually shifts from group support to system support and process adherence becomes even more vital. In this converging world of seemingly diametrically opposed goals, automation and innovation in collaboration are the keys to successfully managing the ‘Agile Shift’.
As the cornerstone of software development, your SCCM solution must balance these goals. In this session we will explore the dilemma facing software development organizations as well as some of the best practices Borland customers have adopted to support them in their transformations.
Join our webcast and gain insight from three different industry leaders
on achieving agility and control in distributed environments:
- A customer testimonial will provide insight into the real world business drivers behind one company’s Agile transformation and how they are maintaining source control for their distributed environment by means of their customized SCCM solution, Borland® StarTeam®.
- Stephen Palmer, Principal Consultant and Certified SCRUM Master, Borland Software, will provide a best practice perspective based upon his involvement with leading global organizations undergoing the ‘Agile Shift’. Stephen will share his solution checklist for measuring the suitability of your SCCM tooling in support of your Agile transition, with particular focus on the SCRUM methodology.
- Corné Human, Product Marketing Director, Borland Software, will provide the solution vendor's perspective on how to drive agile collaboration, manage change and expose metrics, by highlighting the touch points SCCM has into the wider ALM space.
