The main objective of this group is to get active Bangalore Agile and Scrum practioners together to share their experiences and advance the practice of Scrum and other Agile methods.

Aims and Objectives of "Agile in Bangalore" user group:

• To create awareness on agile methods/practices
• To provide a forum whereby users can pool their knowledge and experience of the practical adoption of agile methods
• To help its members get the most from each others
• To promote ideas which users may have on improvements in the existing way of agile implementation
• To harmonise methods of agile practices with real time challanges

This two day Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) course is led by Co-Creator of Scrum, Jeff Sutherland. It covers the fundamentals of Scrum and Agile methods through to planning and managing your project. The agenda covers the Scrum framework meetings such as the daily scrum, Sprint planning and the retrospective.

It will show you how to effectively track your project using burn-down charts and how to measure velocity for release planning.

Agile 2009 will be an exciting international conference about techniques and technologies, attitudes and policies, research and first-hand experience, from both the management and technical sides of agile software development. The agile approach focuses on delivering business value early in the project lifetime and being able to incorporate emergent requirements. It accentuates the use of rich, informal communication channels and frequent delivery of running, tested systems, while attending to the human component of software development.

Agile 2009 gives attendees access to the latest thinking in this domain, and bridges communities that rarely get a chance to exchange ideas and thoughts. It brings together researchers from labs and academia with executives, managers, and developers in the trenches of software development. The conference is not about a single methodology or approach, but rather provides a forum for the exchange of information regarding all agile development technologies.

The differences in agile environments that affect a DBA’s job requirements

Designing schemas for flexibility

Performing holistic testing of queries and schema changes

Creating an architecture and testing infrastructure so that databases can be frequently and safely updated
